At the Hotel - Day 1

Day 1 is in the books and the family tuckered out. We are in Staunton, Va.

Declared by Southern Living as "the perfect place to base any exploration of the valley," Staunton is conveniently located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Known for its historic architecture packed into five National Historic Districts, Staunton is best explored by foot. Its compact downtown features over one hundred unique shops, art galleries and restaurants. Enjoy a night of theater at the Blackfriars Playhouse, the only re-creation in the world of Shakespeare’s legendary indoor theatre. Experience the Frontier Culture Museum, a living history museum illustrating the daily lives of Shenandoah Valley’s early settlers or discover the life and legacy of Woodrow Wilson at his birthplace, museum and research library, which is the only presidential library in Virginia.
