King Jake Stands Guard

Pohick National News (PNN) - April 4, 2006 - Today at the little cabin King Jake was spotted while standing guard over the kingdom. Queen Molly was heard to say that Jake was probably looking for the invading mice army that he suspects is forming just outside the boundaries of the kingdom. King Jake however denied this was the case and muttered something about looking at the birds. Anyone who knows Jake would agree that bird watching is a very un-Jake-like behavior. Jake stated that he had seen a very large woodpecker which he later identified as a Pileated Woodpecker (Dryocopus pileatus) after consulting the internet. King Jake was so insistent he had actually seen the woodpecker that Queen Molly had little choice but to believe him. Later though, Queen Molly and the Pohick Princesses did have a lively discussion about which might be more disturbing, Jake standing guard for mice or Jake watching the birds up in the trees. They did agree that Jake's behavior might require a little closer scrutiny for the next while.

Hey! Where was yesterdays episode???!! Do you think you can just leave us when you want? You have a responsibility to the fans. Where would you be without us? It's bad enough that they took Star Trek off the air and now POHICK thinks it can take a break! I think not! Give me Pohick or give me death!!! Now where did I put my Spock ears?

Pohick Sheriff announces peep in toms on the rise. Subjects of the kingdom are notified to make sure that their blinds and curtains are drawn. Pileated Woodpecker (Dryocopus pileatus) nice save, did she buy it. What are all the mice doing behind that log. Did you know that a Disney Employee can bring in up to 4 guests a day at one of their theme parks? Maybe if you write the ex-pohick mouse a reference for employment and a pardon he just might remember you when you visit Orlando. Then you won’t have to be acting so paranoid, like he will return with Willard and all his friends. I too was begining to wonder what happened. I was listening for the town crier to announce that the King was disposed by a band of mice.
